This year's annual meeting and palm auction is shaping up to be one of our bests, you won't want to miss it!

Silent Auction Species List

Live Auction Preview

You will be able to bid on an incredible variety of palms in the silent auction. For rare palm enthusiasts, our growers are bringing beautiful palms unheard of in cultivation, and for cycad lovers, Don Hemmes is bringing some special beauties from his collection.  Thanks to Normand Goupil, the live auction will include a very lightly used Echo SC3208 - 3 inch Chipper/Shredder - perfect for making more room in your garden for more palms!

THERE IS LITERALLY SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE - Bob Davis, owner of Paniolo Palms is offering every HIPS household who registers a free 3-5 gallon sealing wax palm.  The palms are about 6ft tall and last we checked, Home Depot was selling similar ones for $449.00.  Rick, Karl, and Steve picked them up and are storing them until the big night:

There will be plenty of free seeds and door prizes too.  We will have some palm books from our lending library on sale for a fraction of their original selling price.  All these goodies far exceed the $5 price of admission, so order dinner for $25 and stay a while.

This event is for HIPS members and their guests only.  All palms and other items must be taken home the night of the event, so bring your biggest vehicle or trailer!

We will start the silent auction early at 4:00 pm to avoid parking conflicts with the concurrent BIAN Plant Sale's opening night.  Get a good parking spot, catch up with friends, and peruse the palms in the silent auction.

Dinner will be catered by the popular White Guava Cafe

Attendees have an option to order dinner for $25

Menu Includes:

Choice of entree:  Vegetarian Coconut Curry or Smoked Teri Chicken.

Assorted Side dishes: rice, mac/potato salad, green salad.
